Liverpool City Council are enforcing strict laws which prevent street performers from plying their trade unless they agree to these new, restricting regulations. After street protests and personal attempts to stop the new laws from many of our city’s most beloved buskers, Liverpool City Council is still ploughing ahead with their BID (Business Improvement Districts)-based plan. Since when were corporate, national businesses more important than our home-grown talent? The council seems to be putting capitalist needs before the requirements of our city’s musicians.
Our city’s street artists need your help to keep performing and filling the city centre’s streets with music and life!
